We are based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, Cotswolds. A stunning area for Cycling - This is Where we ride!
At Super7Bikes we want you to get out riding – of course! But we know that it is not always easy to know where to go, and familiar routes can become rather repetitive.
Below are a series of free downloadable GPX routes for both local road and gravel rides, and some for slightly further afield. A short description will tell you what to expect or where you might stop for coffee. Off-road gravel routes can be hard to find – everything here we have ridden – some of it slowly, sometimes with the odd hike-a-bike. Often with a style or gate to negotiate. When off road, officially as cyclists we are limited to bridleways and permissive tracks. Some of these routes use footpaths, so use them at your discretion.
Please always be polite to walkers and horse riders! A cheery hello goes a long way to comfortably sharing a route. Horse riders want to know if you are approaching from behind – so slow down and ring your bell!
The Highway code has changed, such that riding two-abreast is now legal on the road. However, the attitude of most drivers seems not to have changed. The angry ones seem even more angry! Whilst it may be our right to ride two-abreast, we humbly suggest that sometimes it is better to go single file or to pull over to let a motorist past. Don’t forget – we’re always the loser when it comes to a collision.

It also nips down to the Neolithic stone circle at Avebury (where there are a choice of coffee shops). The surface is often chalky. Fine in the dry, but a bit like ice in the wet! Don’t be put off by an out-and-back route – the views are spectacular in each direction. 107km and 1300m elevation. But you can shorten this one easily…just turn around before the end!

We take it as a ‘message-to-self’ rather than an instruction! This was the best we could do at mapping the ‘R5’ shape to a route. Enjoy. 80km, 1100m elevation.
